Making a statement out of neutrals...in 15 minutes

Neutral-mixed-media-card

Two nights ago I decided to challenge myself to make a "statement card out of neutrals". *winks*

1. Choose residual-misted card base from stack - 1 minute
2. Select a stencil, get light modeling paste and apply to card base with a palette knife - 4 minutes
3. Pick out neutral embellishments and arrange them in a pleasing manner - 4 minutes

4. Apply matte medium + mica flakes - 1 minute
5. Adhere embellishments to card base with hot glue gun - 4 minutes
6. Round corners of card and admire handiwork - 1 minute

I'm not sure if it makes a statement but I think it turned out quite pretty. What do you think?

Playing along with Fusion Card Challenge. I used the sketch.

I find it breath-taking beautiful Yvonne!!honestly, love the background colour and the composition, I would have taken more than one minute to admire handiwork and then some more to showoff to all at home :)

I'd say, "Pretty Spectacular!". I love how the neutrals really make the design composition stand out. You certainly have a speedy artistic eye. I usually take so much time changing my mind that I would never finish anything like that in a few minutes. Love the mica on the flower!

Only ONE minute to admire it??? HAH! I'm STILL admiring it after 5 mins. In fact, I'm pinning it so I can go back and admire it some more! I think it's sensational:):) LOOOOOOOVE!!!!!

Beautiful! Do you work over wet modeling paste, or was there a gap where you stopped the timer between steps 2 and 3 and/or 4 and 5?
